Hi! I'm Marcy Paris...a 58
yr. old married homemaker, poet, sometimes-artist, gardener, mom and grandmother!
My husband and I have two grown children, a son,
Jeff (36) and a daughter, Angie (34). I also have 4 grandchildren: two
grandsons, Christopher, 10; (the other, Jacob, passed away August 8, 2001.)
Also, 2 granddaughters, Isabelle, 5 yrs old; and Ella Grace 3 1/2 yrs.
My parents both passed away 1988-1989, when I was only 40 years old.
I've been married to a wonderful guy named Larry, 60, for 38 years.

I was born in Frankfort, Indiana.
I attended school in Indianapolis until 10, then moved and graduated from
Brownsburg High School, in Brownsburg, IN.
We lived in Rockville, IN for 27 years, where we raised our children. We
retired (early) to Navarre, FL on the Gulf of Mexico, where our daughter lives.
We fell in love with the area while visiting our daughter and moved here the year
after she did.

I enjoy reading, writing, swimming,
flower-gardening, yard work and other
outdoor activities. I enjoy walking and shelling on the Beach. I also love web design,
enjoy working with graphics, and chatting online with friends. I came
online somewhere around 1999-2000,
and have been enjoying writing and the computer ever since. My online
nickname is Aurora Angel; I've made a lot of wonderful friends online,
have even met a few of them in person; many have been an inspiration
for some of my poetry.

Being a Caregiver, the computer
provides instant access to friendship, and is a source of comfort and entertainment to
many of us out there who are homebound a great deal of the
time. (Writing is very therapeutic).
I began writing poetry as a teenager and young adult, but didn't write
much more until about 4 years ago, when I took up the "pen"
again (only this time it would be a keyboard). I found it to be quite
a release for my thoughts & emotions, even more so than the letter-writing
and journalizing I'd done for years.

I've continued to enjoy writing,
and have also enjoyed discussing writing with many other creative online
authors I've come to know. I hope to publish a book of my poems some day;
until then, I enjoy knowing that they're being read online, and perhaps even appreciated,
by gracious people such as yourselves. I hope you'll enjoy reading them...and that
they might inspire you, or make you think about something. Please let
me know in my Guestbook, what you experience here, before you leave!
Always remember two of my favorite lines: "Keep Writing!"
....and "Keep Smiling"....(no matter what!)
Hugs and best
wishes, Marcy
